This guide is to help inform anyone who wants to participate in Leowen's Book event by explaining the basics, tips, and where the book monsters can be found. We will keep adding to it, so stay tuned, for it's going to gains some helpful hints, tips, and tricks about this event.

*WARNING LONG GUIDE*

1. The Basics of this event
2. Tips and Hints
3. Strategies
4. Vending Guide
5. Locations List

1. The Basics of the Leowen Book Event

This is the Leowen Book Event Guide Basics. Here you will learn most everything you need to know about the event. (When, where, and how it happens)

Obviously it can't be a continuous event, so to inform you of when and where to start this event. This is an event that happens 2 times per day, the first time in 12:20 (exact book spawn time) and the second time is 20:00 (exact book spawn time). You start by talking to Leowen, who is located in Sunstream across from Tanis Ka. THIS ONLY HAPPENS IN REALM 15!!!

Books spawn 12 times only (at 4 - 5 mins difference after being killed). Event lasts for as long as 2 hours, but books will stop spawning if they are killed 12 times.

The event takes place around the town of Sunstream. In all directions you can find special event mobs, also known as Leowen's Book Monsters. The goal is to gather as many sets as you can for various rewards. You may also just participate to sell the books you've collected to other people. Many do this, why shouldn't you.

2. Tips and Hints

It's best to have the enhanced damage items yes. You can kill it faster and prevent KSing. It's a FFA event, so it's whoever does more damage gets the book.

Going solo can prevent you from getting many of the matching books that are far away. Party up with friends and help each other find the books you need. Always good to have a book buddy xP

Having a mount can speed up how fast you go. But it's not required. Use your skills that help increase movement speed and charge. Getting to the book first is one of the most difficult things.

Always use your pet. It does 1 damage per hit as well, and will stay attacking the book if/when it runs. Using the pet shortens the average time by half.

Learn the locations of the books you desire, and create a routine. Timing is important to be able to make this happen. With a route, you'll be able to get many sets as well as some gold.

Being random. No one ever said it was required to avoid books on others "routes". If you see a book, go for it. One second thought might make you lose the chance to get it.

NOTE: "The Rebel" and "Being and Nothingness" are bugged. They only have their match spawn 1 time during the entire event. DO NOT gather these for they wil not sell, and you won't find the match.

3. Strategies

Examine the Players around you (players with +damage jewelry will 2 hit a book, avoid them)
Normal weapon will do 1 dmg only (without ranged attack skill you can use a beginner staff)
Pet-use it. It will help give 1 dmg too
Mount helps with speed/roaming to reach books. Not required. Use charge skill to race to a book instead
Finish to the End! A lot of people will stop hunting, most KS at beginning. Hang in to the end. During the event, windows of opportunity come from players returning to town.
Make Friends! be courteous hunting and reasonable with pricing.
Learn Spawns and target the books you need.
Expand your bag (the more you can carry without returning to town, the more books you can collect!)

SELLING BOOKS
Be reasonable
(average prices sell first, and you'll be amongst the first choice)
Announce if you've re-stocked

OBJECTIVES

Culture Honor: best to find pairs not sets of 3 or 4. (more matches/less slots needed)

Hunt to Sell: Make money by selling random books
Hunt where it is populated. (These books will be sold easily.)

Match: develop routes to get your matches.
follow other players and watch what they hunt and then what they sell.
hunt randomly, buy the match in town

The Rewards:
Honor Tomes: use or sell
Title Scrolls: can not be traded/mailed/sold. Enjoy the Pink!
Bookcases: gold, title scrolls, tomes/honor tomes

A set of 2 books gives 5 culture points.
A set of 3 books gives 10 culture points.
A set of 4 books gives 20 culture points.

Culture can be exchanged with Nura in Sunstream for Violeta Stones, used in Special Ops Quests until lvl 60 where it changes to Lunar Stones. You can exchange 5 culture points for 10 violeta stones.

4. Vending Guide

The average price of these books: 35-45sHonor Tomes: 250 points usually sell for 75s to 1/+G
1000 points 1G-5G
Remedy Tomes: 10 HP (meh)
Books: Watch the prices, some people try to rip you off by overpricing. Lately there's been a few shops with the entire inventory priced at 2-5g. (NO BOOK IS WORTH GOLD!!!) Watch before you click or you might fall for such scams.
